At Southside Cars we offer a range of Taxi Services in South Nottinghamshire. All our drivers provide our Customers with a SAFE, RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL and FRIENDLY service.
Southside was first opened by Viv in 1998. Viv’s vision was to create a cab service locals could rely on. Since then Southside has become a popular point of call for Customers in the South. As a family run business we have always prided ourselves on looking after our Customers – Customers are at the heart of our business.
Since 2017 Viv’s son Brent has been running the business and has further improved the company’s technology and processes. As a company, Southside continues to invest in the best technology available, training for our Drivers and Staff to make our Customers journey more comfortable and hassle free.

Q. Can I bring my pet with me in your cars?
A. Yes but check with the operator as there may be a surcharge for this. (We do not charge for guide dogs).
Q. Do you carry Golf Clubs?
A. Yes, we can but there may be a small surcharge for a larger vehicle.
Q. How much notice do you require for Airport bookings?
A. We can book your Airport booking as soon as you are ready but its always best to give us as much notice as possible.
Q. Which Airports can you pick me up from, and drop me off at?
A. We can help you get to and from any Airport across the UK.
Q. Can I pay in advance by credit or debit card?
A. We welcome advance payments and accept most major credit or debit cards.
Q. I have an early morning flight to catch. Can I still get a taxi to the Airport?
A. Yes, we are open 24/7, 365 days a year.
Q. Do you offer support for wheelchair user?
A. All our Drivers are trained in supporting the safe transportation of wheelchairs and helping their passengers to and from the vehicle. Included in our fleet, we have accessible vehicles, meaning we can accommodate anyone.
Q. What is the largest vehicle you have?
A. We have seven 8-seater minibuses.
Q. Can I set up an account?
A. Yes, corporate or bespoke accounts are welcomed.
Q. Are your drivers licensed?
A. Yes, all our drivers are licenced by the local council as a Private Hire driver. They also are DBS checked every six months.
Q. How do I pay for my journey?
A. You can pay by credit or debit card in advance or by cash to the driver on the day. We accept most major cards.
Q. How can I cancel my booking, and will I get a refund?
A. You can cancel your booking at any stage, we understand changes in your itinerary can occur last minute. Considering this, we would appreciate your notice of cancellation as soon as possible, to avoid situations were a driver is already en route to the requested pickup address. To cancel, you can call us and speak to one of our operators or email us at info@southsidecars.co.uk. If your booking was pre-paid for then you will get a refund only if the Driver has not been dispatched to your pickup address. If the Driver is already on their way, then a full refund will not be given. Please check our Terms and Conditions for further information.
Q. What happens if I forget an item in the taxi?
A. If you have forgotten something in one of our vehicles, please contact us as soon as possible. Although we instruct our drivers to check the vehicle after each journey, misplaced items can be overlooked and can go missing once other passengers board the vehicle.
